Primary Project 3

They say that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Which brings me nicely to the topic of the worth or value of a fertile egg. Potential life…anticipation of growth, but in itself worthless.

I have been trying to get hold of some fertile chicken eggs for Rothwell Junior school, so we can start an incubation project with yr 5. It has proved difficult. I have rung round a few different local farm parks until finally I came across Blat farm in Burton Latimer. Sean has agreed to give me 12 fertile eggs, ‘as it’s for a good cause’. What a good egg eh!

So I am off to pick them up tomorrow and then to help Miss Hill and her class get started.. Can’t wait.

Sometimes it’s better to wait for the two in the bush.. It’s more fun.
