Questions answered!

The soays obviously rallied this weekend and today the first ewe had her lambs. She was pacing about this morning looking very uncomfortable, with her tail up. After around an hour of watching, the first fluid sack came out. She had the first lamb around half an hour later. She lambed standing up so after she’d begun cleaning her up I popped down to lay her flat as her head was tucked under her body. After 10 minutes or so the second waters broke and she quickly lambed the second. As with the first, this one also needed laying out and some mucous clearing from his nose (for some reason with both the ewe started cleaning at the back end which left them blowing bubbles through the membrane!). They were both up and feeding very soon and seem to be doing well now. They are both tagged up and we’re ready for the next ones!
