Over the last few weeks we have been off of work. This weekend we have visited Sissinghurst in Kent. This is a wonderful garden created by Vita and Harold Sackville West. It was very inspirational, lots if lovely hornbeam hedges create the feeling of a walled garden. Vita is the name sake of one of our ducks along with Virginia Wolfe with whom she had a brief affair. I really enjoyed the visit, and have bought a book called ‘Portrait of a Marriage which will help me to learn more about the place.
We also visited the British Museum. Look how similar the sheep that the ancient civilisation kept are to our Soay.
