Primary School Project

The good news is, that the primary school eggs worked. Well, one worked. Chaffy (as the class have named him/her) hatched on Thursday morning. The class took it in turns to watch the egg hatch, and he popped out. I have brough him home for half term, but he will be going back for a couple of weeks next Monday. He is a bit lonely, so Becs and I are off to Melton market on Saturday to see if we can get a good deal on a box of chicks.  I think the project has worked really well. Next year I will try and get some fertile eggs locally, as I think sending them through the post makes life more difficult, and less likely to work. The school seems to have really enjoyed it, it even got a mention in the school news letter!!
